Poster design PINKPOP festival

It was a great honor to design the poster for one of the most iconic festivals of the Nederland’s: PINKPOP. This opportunity held a special place for me, as my father previously worked as a graphic designer for the festivals for many many years (As long as I live, and much longer before). Following in his creative footsteps felt like a full-circle moment, since many of my current skills and inspiration come from him as a creative being.

Coming from my background in 3D fashion design, I created a unique musical sculpture using CLO3D. The concept was inspired by my own cherished memories of the festival, which I’ve attended since childhood. One vivid memory stood out: the shiny, reflective balloons that seemed to take over the festival grounds. Festival-goers carried them as playful markers to always be recognizable by their friends or simply for the joy they brought, and I’ll never forget the sight of a balloon floating away into the vast sky.

I translated this memory into a whimsical, inflatable, imaginary instrument, enhanced with iridescent textures and vivid colors. The result captures the samen mesmerizing, dreamlike quality that those balloons once held for me, celebrating the spirit and magic of PINKPOP.
